A corporate requires its supplier to offer a quantifiable service level. This is normally described as a KPI, key performance indicator, so if you say you will be on site in 3 hours, how often were you on site within the time frame and how do you expect to improve this aspect of your service in the future?

So something like, “Soft Brick understands that performance is the bedrock of service, our success as a supply partner to the Corporate multisite operator of play/ indoor play is based on our understanding that our performance reflects on your brand. Soft Brick offer the highest service level available in our industry - accountability is offered as a standard.”

If a corporate doesn’t exist as in our market they like to buy from the most successful supplier. Presumably they feel that the weak have been screened out – in some respects market forces have done part of the selection process for them. There is also the point that any salesman can promise the earth but that promise by the corporate or market leader can be relied upon because their reputation is more important than any “new contract” (and to a degree they are correct, we would certainly prefer to not win a contract if it means we are left with a load of headaches, but not all our competitors feel the same).
